Oversized Sweaters

1. Forest Green Infinity Scarf by Jillegbean Boutique
2. Brown Grunge Oversized Sweater by ilealye
3. Victorian City leggings by Carouselink
4. Vintage above knee riding boots by vjones1

Let me first say that I love rainy weather. If I could live in Portland... I would--right now. I love the outfits paired with the rain. Take, the good ol' go-to knit sweater, for instance... always popular in my eyes and comfortable! You will learn that about me.. I love to mix chill/comfortable with cute/trendy.

I am a huge supporter of  Etsy because of their loyalty to handemade/vintage goods. I recently bought a headband (I adore headbands) from a shop on Etsy and had the best experience with the seller and the overall customer service, therefore I handpicked a few items from Etsy that complement this fall weather and of course my natural instinct to stay inside, watch movies and drink tea.

Beauty: Review

This may not come as a shocker, but I love the Orgasm Illuminator by NARS. I am pretty sure this is everyone's favorite illuminator and I am declaring myself on the bandwagon with the rest of the beauty world! I tried it on in Sephora yesterday and I ADORED it. Ashley and I went to try on Flowerbomb later and the sales associate told us we had such beautiful skin and I blame it on the illumnator!

Off to do normal life things!

Outfit Post 2?

Grey Jacket: TJ Maxx
Headband: Harepeace (shop is on Etsy)
Scarf: Urban Outfitters
Rings: The orange is from Forever 21
The other ring is my mom's promise ring from like 1978
Tights and Boots: Bass
White Sweater: Target

Ahh... delight.

Van and Bovs are both sleeping. The rain is lightly trickling down the window and it's CHILLY. Not cold... but getting there. I already have gotten my warm clothes out.. even though the weather always surprises me and will probably be 100 degrees next week. I am definitely an autumn girl and would love to live somewhere that is cold and rainy with a few days of sunshine here and there... haha.

Anyway so here's my outfit! Quality is, again, not great because I can't find a tripod! Ugh. So until then we get macbook pictures. Everything is pretty much old school wardrobe (I've had it  at least a year). The two rings are the rings I wear about every day unless I am going to yoga or sleeping. The jacket is something I picked up from a TJ MAXX to get when it was raining one day a year or two ago. The shirt is from white sweater is from none other than Target, tights are from an outlet mall shop called Bass as well as the boots! Also I went a little less blonde. Me being bleached is not ME, so I had to naturalize it a little bit. It is still shocking sometimes that it isn't brown and honestly, I kind of miss it but I'm enjoying the honey blonde for now.

I hope my pictures are able to get better soon. The grainy-ness of these are so irritating. If anyone has suggestions on how to get more quality photos. LET ME KNOW.

Happy Fall!

Fall is Here!

--I am in LOVE with SABO SKIRT right now! I saw their picture on the popular page of Instagram and have become obsessed. They have extremely stylish clothing and are inexpensive. BOOM.

--So excited for the FALL! I really do love Fall weather and I love that the rain is bringing it in right now. It feels so much better than the awful drag 100 degree heat here in the midwest. Also, my boyfriend and I cut our residential water consumption by HALF (in thousands of gallons). I really
have been trying to be more aware of our energy and water consumption. I'm trying to be as eco    friendly as I can. I listen to NPR quite often and I always hear about water policy, consumption and protecting our environment, I really do love that stuff and love listening to experts on their research findings.

All right. Off to school!

Yoga and Boscia

--I have to say, I cannot believe how much yoga has transformed me. I am really not one to work out or even talk about exercising but yoga itself is totally different. In college, I went to a yoga class here and there at the university gym but since I have moved back to the city, I have had to find a new place to start up my practice.

--To be honest, I didn't even really have a practice. It was just a relaxation go-to for me. When I moved back to the city, I decided to try Yoga at Tiffany's . It's a quaint yoga studio with a boutique, high end type feel to it. I LOVE it. It is hot yoga, so some classes are up to 98 degrees but I have never felt so cleansed, calmed and overall better vitality than starting my practice here. I LOVE IT!

Ok, yoga spiel over. (But expect more to come.)

--I have been loving boscia facial cleanser more and more lately. I am actually going to do a product review of it soon because I have noticed such a difference in the texture of my skin!

All right, it is late and I am in need of some rest.

Birchbox Trial

I have never been someone that is in to beauty/skincare but for the last year, one of my best friends has really gotten into trying new makeup, skincare, hair products, etc and so naturally I have followed suit. For my birthday, my sister got me three months of a trial box collection called Birchbox. To be frank, when the first box came in I was not impressed. The first box came with a Lara bar, natural cleansing hand wipes, a Stila lip/cheek stain and Porefessional by Benefit. I called my sister, laughing it up because it was all sample sizes and we didn't know what we had gotten into.

Fast forward a month.

I receive Birchbox Numero 2.

And it hits me, why don't I just try the products? Have a little fun, ya know. (Both of my older sisters moved away when I was 15, so I kind of missed out on girly stuff). Annd... then I fall in love. I decided to try my products out.

Second Birchbox

  • Porefessional (MY FAVORITE, reduces appearance of pores/works as a primer)
  • boscia cleansing wash: The most simple face wash routine I have discovered/smells great
  • Color Club Birchbox Custom Polish: my thought is "PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BE A LIMITED EDITION. It is a charcoal grey with a hint of green when it is dry. So cute.
  • kate spade new york twirl perfume: I actually havent tried this yet because I have been wearing Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck
  • twisband hair tie in pink: really cute, didn't like the pink because I simply don't like pink.
If you are wondering about the Birchbox/interested--TRY IT. At least purchase a trial period. I will probably keep going with it because I love discovering new products to try.
